Until the 1930s, it was a tradition everywhere in the Flemish Ardennes to bake candles around Candlemas (February 2). Baking took place in brick ovens whose fires were fuelled with willow wood. You can see the ovens of yesteryear in operation every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from the second or third weekend of January to the end of February. A photo exhibition of this edible piece of heritage should of course not be missed.
